Minnie is an accredited AASW Social Worker working at Thrive Wellness Hub. Minnie has been working with children, young people and families over the last 20 years in Community Health Services and also Non- Government Organisations. Over the last 12 years Minnie has focussed primarily on providing therapy to children from separated families. Minnie provides a safe space where children and young people are able to express themselves creatively through a number of different mediums; develop coping strategies and also build their own sense of self- identity. Minnie works with children and families to improve attachment and relationships between family members.
Minnie works with young people and adults struggling with anxiety, depression and grief and loss. Minnie works from a trauma- informed perspective and knows the importance of having a trusted relationship with a therapist where you are able to explore your struggles, your difficult experiences and identify unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs. Minnie will work with you in a collaborative and non- judgemental way towards creating more helpful thought patterns and to find ways to prioritise your own self- worth and your own self- care.
